New dress. Okay, maybe nightgown.

I so anxious to use some of this trim that I made up this little dress last night. When it was finished I immediately thought it looks like a nightgown. I am always overly critical of what I make so I just put the thought aside. This morning before going out when my husband saw Saga in her new dress and shoes he asked me why is she still wearing her nightgown. I said it is a dress and went on to story time. But tell me, is this a dress or a nightgown?

Oh well, at least Saga is starting to pose in pictures for me. This is a big improvement over me chasing her with the camera and only getting shots from the back. I am working on a romper right now, but if you want to see the cutest one ever check out what Frida's mom made her.

Oh, you are so sweet! Well, to me the dress you've made for Saga is very fit for day-use! I understand why you could think of a nightgown with the trim, but I wouldn't have thought of it myself. If I saw Saga wearing this during the day, I would merely see a beautiful girl in the sweetest dress! And I'm so looking forward to seeing your romper! :)

I think it looks like a dress not a nightie, love the green. What a lovely romper - can't wait to see yours

Thanks! I might make a little apron for the dress. I had a little romper mishap, but hopefully I will finish it tonight.

Definitely a summer dress - I had one very like this that my mum made back in about 1978. The green is such a pretty shade and the trim sets it off a treat. I bet the minute Saga wears it with some summery shoes it'll look just right. Nightie?! Never.
