Fall, Where are you?

I am officially tired of hot weather. I can't wait for the chill of fall. I will need to wait a while longer because we always have a long Indian summer in California. What is making me happy is making this new dress for Saga. It felt so wonderful making her something again. I have so many ideas right now. This is the simplest dress, but I love how it is so easy to add layers. A red turtleneck would be so cute. The trim on the neck came for i heart linen. I just love it, I wish I had more. When Saga wears this dress I know she is going to look like the big girl she is quickly becoming.

Oh, this is so cute. Before I read your words, I thought this was a shirt for you, and I thought "I want one!" but Miss Saga will wear it well as a dress :-). She has got to be the cutest red shoed girl I know!

(And yes, I'm craving fall, too!)

Wow that's beautiful! We're hanging out for Summer here and I wish we had some dresses like this ready for the heat! Did you use a pattern or was it you're own creation?

That is such a pretty dress - I love the trim. Went straight to the link you provided, but it's all sold out. I wish I had so many ideas - they're kind of lacking at the moment...

I hear ya! Fall, please come now!!! We've had a taste of cool days and even cooler nights. I have so much more energy. Of course, with all that energy you'd think I was sewing, but no...grad school has begun. Saga's dress is lovely. To bad you are in Ca or else I'd ask for some garmet making advice...actually, in blogland I'm asking you--any good advice on sewing clothes so that I'll actually wear them?

I just LOVE this dress, bookmarked it a while ago on your blog. Did you use a pattern for it? Would love to try one for my little one.
