Option #2

This little dress had a change of plans. After I put on the collar I just wasn't sure. So I looked at it for a few days and knew I really didn't like it. So I made it into this top. I have made so many of these for Saga and I adore them. I can whip one of these up in no time.
Now I need to get going with my blouses for work. It is hard to find time to sew with my husband away working. Above you can see what Saga does when I sew. Three more weeks before I go back to school, so I better squeeze out some sewing time.

Saga and I are on the same wave length. As a kid, there are a million pictures of me doing the same thing when I was supposed to be napping and my grammie was supposed to be sewing!

Jessica, Oh no! did your grammie ever find a way to distract you long enough to get some sewing done?

Glad to see Saga is enjoying "sewing" activities! I remember it was good when my kids were a little older. Then you could give them a jar of buttons to sort and they would be happy for ages.

My little one does the same thing! She loves taking out my fabrics and looking at them while I am sewing. The top is so cute! I like it best without the collar too.

I love this - do you use a pattern for the top, or is it just something you make up? Ohhh - three more weeks! I'm glad I have a little longer still... ;)

Very cute dress ... and even lovelier top. Good to see you have such an attentive assistant while you sew! I can't sew when my boys are around. The older one is too intrigued by the machine needle and the younger tries to push the peddle when I am not paying attention. A disaster waiting to happen if they try those two things at the same time!
