Let Me Explain

I admit, I made Saga and I matching tops. I bought this Erin McMorris fabric and thought I would make a shirt for myself. I ended up making my standby, and I felt bad to keep this awesome fabric all to myself. This is how Saga's top came to be. This is the part I can't believe I am going to reveal. We have worn them at the same time, but just once. I was visiting my mom and she reminded me how she would make us matching dresses every year for the church tea. I remember one of the dresses, long and green that a had a 70's vibe with its belt and huge collar. So that day for my mom's benefit we wore our matching tops, and I found out people really notice that type of thing.

I so love this fabric, one of my favourties. I would be tempted to do the same.

The two tops are wonderful and I adore the fabric! It's funny how people have different feelings about the mother and daughter-stuff - some would love to wear matching mother and daughter outfits, but I'm probably more like you, I would be kind of hesitant to. You don't want people to think that you're trying to raise a teeny version of yourself, right? But then again - if it's on an occasional basis, I think it's kind of sweet! :) Beautiful work!

Love the fabric in your matching outfits! I used to make my daughter's dolls clothes to match her outfits - she loved it when they were dressed the same as her!!

They are such great tops. You might as well wear the same print while Saga still lets you! Its sweet.

I sometimes find that I have (subconsciously) dressed my boys in the same colours as me.

I am usually anti-matching, too. But here's the thing: you and Saga can totally get away with it! Between your magnificently sewn outfits to your cute red hair to the fact that you two are a stunning mama-daughter pair, I say do it! You guys are adorable!

ha! I love that last line. Both your top and Saga's are beautiful. They really show off that gorgeous fabric. You should post a pic of the two of you in them. :)

My mom always made my sister and me matching outfits and sometimes ones that would match hers. When I was a teenager,I always swore I would never do that...but now I think it can be SO cute! Especially when you use great fabric...

That is so sweet, the fabric is just gorgeous. My sister and I always had matching outfits made either by my Mum or Nan.
