Get your dirt on.
A couple weeks into the school year I realized I need to make Saga some play clothes. Specifically tops she could wear and I would not gasp when I say how dirty they were at the end of the day. Don't get me wrong I love that she is gardening and playing so freely during the day, but the condition of her clothes is scary. So, I made her a few basic tops out of old German duvet covers to wear over turtlenecks this fall. They are all bright, cheerful, and ready to play in. As you can see, she had this one on for an hour before she was wearing cinnamon. See they work perfectly.

That's a very cute top and a very good idea. I should do some for my (filthy) boys!
These are devine. I love the ribbon too. What a cool idea. I am a fan of layering!
Gorgeous! I need a stack of these
I love this top - and I have been thinking the same thoughts. This is actually why I made Ronja the one I called the Kindergarten dress. Those kids need clothes that they are allowed to get dirty in - and isn't it wonderful when it's still something you made for her? Saga is adorable as always! :)
Cute top! I enjoy sewing for my kids too especially for DD.
oooh, what a great idea. I know the perfect 3 y/o who could use a bunch of these. Time to get sewing - again.
Okay, let me try that again. (I tried to correct my spelling and deleted my comment :P ) anyway Saga is adorable and so is her little top. What a great idea, I could use a few of those myself. Your blog is lovely by the way.
Those play clothes look great- Although, I'd have a tough time playing in something so lovely!
Love this top!
