Cape

A new cape was in order for Saga. I made her one last winter, but sadly it slipped out of my bag and was lost. So this weekend I made her a new one. I used fleece the wonder fabric. I know it is a fancy polyester, but it is so warm. She needs it for the car ride in the morning. These capes are perfect to use in carseats. We won't be using it this weekend. It is in the 70's here, and look that tree in the picture hasn't even started to lose its leaves. There is a beautiful view of the lake behind that tree so it needs to get to it.

I have spent part of the weekend looking for Thanksgiving recipes. I am making the dinner for my small family this year. I will just make turkey breasts not the whole bird. I felt really nontraditional about this until I saw even Ina does it! I will use her recipe, and make my mom's traditional sides. Fingers crossed it will all work out.

I've always loved capes. You will have to do a bright red one too. Good luck with your dinner

A cape is so practical and yet stylish. Saga looks so sweet in her cape - what a brilliant idea. I remember making capes for my daughter's dolls - wish I had of thought to make one for her when she was younger.

That's such a pretty cape - I love the colour and the ric-rac trim.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
