Making Preparations

I went to Joann's to buy some fabric for stockings and a Christmas tree skirt. I had to search through bolts of of starchy, glittery, and yikes fabrics. I almost lost hope. Until I found these three. They are festive, but simple enough to use year after year. I hope to get to them this weekend because then we need to buy the tree, right.
I have been hibernating a bit, actually a lot. I nap any chance I get, and have been sick in the stomach way. I have finally made it to the other side of the first trimester. After a very bumpy start, I am so thankful to say I am pregnant. Now the nausea needs to go away so I can get all this Christmas sewing done!

Oh, Congrats!!!! I'm so thrilled for you (and Saga and papa de saga!) I'm planning on making a tree skirt and stockings as well (and had the same problems at Joanns!)

Oh, that's the loveliest news - congratulations! How exciting to have a new baby on the way.

I hope that you get some time for your sewing and that you are feeling a little better and less tired soon. I like the fabric and ric-rac you have chosen. They should make a fabulous skirt and stockings.
